Learning Log 12/17

Today in the "Crucible" I discover how brave and courageous John Proctor is when it comes to saving his friends. John had an opportunity to save his own life by confessing to witchcraft and saying that his good friends used witchcraft themselves. In the real world the ones who put their lives on the line (John Proctor) in order to save their friend are normally accepted in our society today. Even though not many people would do the same as John, many would still enjoy have the same type of companion as John because he trustworthy. Author Miller created John Proctor so courageous because he wanted to show people the importance of standing up for whats right. John Proctor was also created as a mentor, example, and a role model for everyone to look up to.
